Hounds of the Highlands - July 20th

The past week or so has gone much as usual.  Weather still not very summery and raining quite a lot. We somehow manage to avoid most of the showers onour walks though with the grass being so long, feet and jeans inevitably get soaked.  The grass in the field is getting ridicuously long but we are reluctant to cut it until the orchids and other wild flowers have seeded.  The paths are still being cut so it's not too bad.

Having a good sniff - must be a deer around!

On our walks Maja is nearly always ahead of us.  She is very good and is always checking to see where we are before heading off again.  Here she looks decidedly bored waiting for us.

 Time to annoy Kobe!

Having a splash and a shake!

Every picture tells a story! - I was practicing a stay with the two RRs whilst Hamish caught up with us. I was concentrating so hard attempting to get Maja to stay that it wasn’t until I had taken the photo that I noticed that Hamish had crept up on us and was doing exactly as I asked.  More than can be said for herself!

Is she practising her show stand - I doubt it.

A tasty crab that had been washed up on the shore had to be investigated!

Weather not too good - and they were not too keen to leave a nice cosy bed.

One of the bridges we cross - suprisingly they all take it in their stride.

 Another bridge safely crossed.

 Annoying Hamish!
